Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 lb ground beef, cooked and seasoned
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for greasing the pan)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Grease a rectangular baking sheet with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to fit the baking sheet. Transfer it to the sheet and press into the edges, creating a slight crust.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
- Cook the ground beef with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until fully browned. Drain any excess grease and distribute the beef evenly over the cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15–18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let the pizza cool slightly. Slice into rectangular pieces, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
- For an authentic cafeteria-style crust, use a thick dough and bake in a rectangular pan.
- Add extra toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, or green peppers if desired.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 1 month. Reheat in the oven for the best results.
