Description

Easy, flavorful, and ready in minutes! This Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich with Grape Jelly combines sweet and savory flavors in the most delicious way. With melty cheese, savory sausage, and a touch of fruity sweetness, it’s a breakfast you’ll crave again and again.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sausage patties (pork, turkey, or plant-based)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  • 2 slices sourdough, brioche, or bread of choice
  • 2 tbsp grape jelly
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting the bread)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage Patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sausage patties for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway, until fully cooked and golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Eggs: In the same skillet, cook the eggs to your preferred style (fried, scrambled, or sunny-side-up). Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Toast the Bread: Spread butter on both sides of the bread slices. Toast in the skillet until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Melt the Cheese: Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each sausage patty while still warm to allow the cheese to melt.
  5. Assemble the Sandwich: Spread 1 tablespoon of grape jelly on one side of each slice of toasted bread. Layer the sandwich with one sausage patty, one egg, and the second sausage patty. Top with the other slice of bread, jelly-side down.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Slice in half and serve warm for a sweet and savory breakfast treat!

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Sausage patties and eggs can be cooked ahead of time and reheated for quick assembly.
  • Customize: Swap grape jelly with strawberry, raspberry, or even spicy jam for a different flavor twist.
  • Storage: Assemble the sandwich and wrap it tightly in foil for storage in the fridge (up to 24 hours). Reheat in the oven or skillet for the best texture.
