Description

These Red Velvet Kinder Bueno Brownie Bars are the perfect fusion of rich, fudgy brownies and the classic red velvet flavor, made even more indulgent with chunks of creamy Kinder Bueno. Whether you’re baking for a party or a cozy night in, these brownie bars are sure to impress with their vibrant color, gooey texture, and irresistible chocolate-hazelnut goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 Kinder Bueno bars, chopped (reserve some for topping)
  • 1/3 cup (optional) chocolate chips for extra gooeyness

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, red food coloring, and vinegar. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  4. Fold in most of the chopped Kinder Bueno bars (and chocolate chips, if using), reserving a handful for topping.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the reserved Kinder Bueno pieces on top for decoration.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  7. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment overhang. Slice into bars and serve.

Notes

  • For a firmer texture: Chill the brownies in the refrigerator for an hour before slicing.
  • Customize the mix-ins: Add chopped hazelnuts, white chocolate chips, or a drizzle of melted chocolate on top for added flair.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to 1 week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
