Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 4 Kinder Bueno bars, chopped (reserve some for topping)
- 1/3 cup (optional) chocolate chips for extra gooeyness
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, red food coloring, and vinegar. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in most of the chopped Kinder Bueno bars (and chocolate chips, if using), reserving a handful for topping.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the reserved Kinder Bueno pieces on top for decoration.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment overhang. Slice into bars and serve.
Notes
- For a firmer texture: Chill the brownies in the refrigerator for an hour before slicing.
- Customize the mix-ins: Add chopped hazelnuts, white chocolate chips, or a drizzle of melted chocolate on top for added flair.
- Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to 1 week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
