Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup Nestle Toll House milk chocolate morsels
- Extra chocolate chips for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan thoroughly.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, and water. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- To make the ganache, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it begins to simmer. Pour it over the milk chocolate morsels in a bowl. Let sit for 2-3 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
- Drizzle the ganache over the cooled cake and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top. Allow the ganache to set slightly before serving.
Notes
- For an extra crunch, add chopped nuts like almonds or pecans as a topping.
- Store leftovers at room temperature for up to 2 days, in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
- For a richer flavor, substitute dark chocolate morsels for the ganache.
- Use mini bundt pans for individual servings; adjust the baking time to 25-30 minutes.
