  • Author: Ava McKenney
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Easy, flavorful, and perfectly caramelized, this Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon is a quick dinner recipe that will become a family favorite. Tender, flaky salmon coated in a sticky, sweet, and savory glaze is as delicious as it sounds!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 skin-on salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium, if preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Set aside.
  2. Season the Salmon:
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Lightly season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. Sear the Salmon:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  4. Add the Glaze:
Reduce the heat to medium. Flip the salmon fillets and pour the honey garlic glaze into the skillet. Add butter to the pan and spoon the sauce over the salmon as it cooks for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Finish and Serve:
Cook the salmon until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. Remove from heat and let it rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with extra glaze spooned over the top.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh salmon fillets with the skin on. The skin helps keep the salmon moist during cooking.
  • Leftover salmon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
  • Be sure to spoon the glaze over the salmon as it cooks to create a sticky, caramelized coating.
